Silver Cheetah Champions

Running Faster, Jumping Higher, Throwing Farther

The Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs are in need of volunteers to help facilitate two annual track & field meets for the youth in our community. The event dates are Saturday, 4-20-13 and Saturday 5-18, 2013 at Savannah State University’s Ted E. Wright Stadium.

Volunteer help is needed in a variety of tasks ranging from assisting with athlete registration and giving out water to distributing awards. Volunteers will receive a complimentary t-shirt along with breakfast and lunch. Savannah-Chatham County District students age 16 and older will also receive community service credit.

The Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs are committed to the fight against childhood obesity. We encourage parents, coaches, teachers and all community stakeholders to volunteer with us to demonstrate the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. You can make a difference. You can change a life for the better.

Volunteers can sign up by calling Head Coach Ed Jinks at (912) 660-1475 or by sending an email to t.smith2208@comcast.net with your contact information.
