Volunteer Coaches Needed

The Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs Track & Field Club has openings for four track & field coaches to help us develop student-athletes to their full potential. Volunteers receive the following:

• Free training (Level 1 or USATF certification)
• Free AAU memberships
• Free travel while serving as a team coach
• Free team t-shirts & supplies
• Fuel stipend
• Opportunity to officiate track meets for supplemental income

No experience is necessary. Volunteers will receive training and support from the Executive Team, AAU and USATF.

Volunteers must pass a background check which is administered when applying for a membership card with the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union).

Volunteers are needed during weekday evenings for practice and on weekends for travel to competitions (typically no more than 4 hours away). The biggest requirement for this position is a passion to mentor youth towards a positive direction.
