Silver Cheetahs Now Recruiting Volunteers

Physical education programs have been limited and even removed from many of our school agendas. Many students in our community go without proper exercise and essential nutritional choices every day due to a variety of factors including the lack of knowledge and resources. While all of us are susceptible to poor health, children are at the most risk.

Would you like to help us make a difference? We need people like you to donate time, energy, and experience in a variety of areas, including officiating events, restroom maintenance, hurdle crew, kitchen help, award distribution, announcing and clerking at our annual community track & field meet to be held Saturday, 4-19-14. The Cheetah Coach O Track & Field Meet is a great opportunity for high school students in need of community service hours to get involved and to make a difference. Volunteers receive a complimentary t-shirt, lunch and a heart full of thanks from the Silver Cheetah family.

Together, we will be able to help many children not only to meet essential daily fitness needs, but to work toward a brighter future with programs in nutrition education, athletic career counseling and college preparation. Our volunteers say they feel rewarded many times over for the help they provide in making a difference in the lives of our children.

Please call us today at (912) 660-1475 or (912) 398-8947 or email to t.smith2208@comcast.net to find out more about how you can help. We look forward to hearing from you!
